Batangas Channel
Batangas Channel is like the Manila Channel also a great option to make a drift-dive, if the tide is right. The dive-site has a maximum depth of 15 meters and is a great option for novice-divers who want to experience drift-diving for the first time.
There are many unusual Coral and Sponge formation in the channel and good dive-master and guides are able to find you some of the rarest critters in the Puerto Galera area. Watch out where you put down your hands if you stop somewhere. Very good camouflaged stonefish and scorpionfish are hiding on the bottom and rocks of the Batangas channel. Also the famous blue-ribbon-eel is spotted frequently.
Coral Garden
The name Coral Garden tells you the program at the dive-site. A great dive for beginners, as well as for snorkeling or a relaxed easy afternoon dive with a maximum depth of 10 meters. Colorful coral heads on white sand, huge fields of table-corals and all colorful reef-fish are providing an aquarium-like dive, just better.
If you never dived before you can make your first “Discover Scuba” experience at Coral Garden. If you do so, make sure you try that at the beginning of your holiday, as you might get so excited to enroll into the full Open Water Programm
Like many dive-sites in Puerto Galera, the Coral Garden can also be a great and fast drift-dive leading from Manila Channel towards Batangas Channel. Make sure you check with your dive guide the tides.
